Derwentwater by Canoe

Derwentwater: unique and outstanding Lake District scenery, fabulous riverine wildflowers, verdant oak woodlands and expect to see hunting ospreys - all best seen from the water. This exciting journey by canadian canoe will surprise and delight.
Naturebreak UK is offering this exciting and educational day to schools in May and June 2010. Our guides can use this day to teach about wildlife and nature, landscape and ecology, human geography, water cycles, or sustainability - whichever of these themes is most relevant to your children.
All specialist equipment and full instruction will be provided and are included in the price. The activity comes under the Adventurous Activity Licensing Authority and will be provided and led by our partner organisation David Hendrickse www.davidhendrickse.co.uk who is licensed by the AALA licence number L5783.

10am - 3.30pm

What you need to bring:
Boots/wellies and warm and waterproof clothing, drinks and packed lunch, hats, suncream and sunglasses.
We will be paddling for around 4 hours, participants will be expected to help paddling. Instruction provided.
Booking:
We can accommodate up to 36 children with accompanying adults.
Advanced booking is essential
For May and June 2010 only, special reduced price of £40/child, accompanying adults free. Minimum charge £500.
